Swiss group of companies AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG has established a consolidation warehouse for one of its clients in Wenzhou, China. This warehouse will serve as a key hub for handling footwear and accessories, significantly simplifying logistics for our partner.
The project was implemented from scratch, as similar services had not been provided before, and at that time AsstrA had no active contractors in Wenzhou. AsstrA experts held preliminary negotiations with the client, discussing the warehouse selection criteria, existing challenges, and potential shipment volumes for the season. The client's key requirement was the availability of a warehouse offering a full range of storage services.
«We successfully found a warehouse in the required location and ensured coordination of operations. The warehouse process includes receiving and consolidating shipments from suppliers, storage, scanning of SSCC codes, inventory tracking, and regular reporting on stock status. Once the required volume is accumulated, the goods are shipped by road to country of delivery. AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG provides a range of services for storage, logistics, and customs clearance on a turnkey basis. The client does not need to communicate with a large number of contractors, as AsstrA experts provide timely feedback on cargo tracking and warehouse inventory, which helps reduce paperwork, minimize the risk of errors, and secure competitive market rates.
Going forward, AsstrA intends to scale this service for other partners by leveraging key tools such as SSCC code scanning, even when the sender does not provide complete documentation. This will improve cargo identification and simplify the processing of transportation documents
