In January 2025, AsstrA’s experts successfully managed a shipment from China to the USA, delivering a wave soldering machine. The project required precise coordination across multiple regions to ensure seamless execution.
The cargo was destined for El Paso, USA. However, since there is no direct flight from China to El Paso, the shipment was transported from Shanghai to Los Angeles via a direct flight and then delivered by the airline's truck to El Paso, covering nearly 1,500 km.
One of the main challenges was handling the oversized cargo. One of the cases measured 582 x 181 x 222 cm, with a single unit weight exceeding 2,867 kg, while the maximum permissible length for a ULD is 600 cm. These freight characteristics required a PGA pallet, a specialized type of ULD that not all carriers can accommodate. Despite these complexities, Air China Airlines successfully completed the air transportation.
“Every cargo shipment presents unique challenges. This transportation required precise route planning, coordination across multiple regions, and specialized handling at every stage. Thanks to the seamless collaboration between our teams in Asia and the USA, we ensured smooth execution and timely delivery,” said Chunyan Liu, Head of the Asian Airfreight Division at AsstrA.
Despite the complexity, the cargo was delivered on time and intact, reinforcing AsstrA’s expertise in managing intercontinental shipments.
