AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG successfully performed air transportation of pipes from Belgium to the USA using a Boeing 747. The shipment was organized specifically for Centravis, AsstrA’s regular customer.
Centravis specializes in manufacturing seamless stainless steel tubes and pipes in Ukraine and exports its products worldwide, primarily to America. Generally, deliveries are made via sea transport; however, this time, immediate freight supply was required. Such a shipment was only possible through air transport. The cargo was successfully delivered on time thanks to the well-coordinated efforts of AsstrA’s professionals from the Air Division.
"Organizing this transportation took only a few days and proceeded smoothly. The most interesting and complex stage was loading the pipes onto the plane. The cargo was loaded via the nose ramp, as the pipes were quite long," shared Zuzanna Karasek, Head of the European Air Division at AsstrA.
The pipe elements measured 13.2 meters in length and had a total weight of 16.5 tons.
"All orders are placed on a tender platform where verified forwarders, including AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG, submit their price proposals. Since our proposal was the most competitive, the client chose us. I would also like to add that communication with clients is always at the highest level, and this case was no exception. The customer was satisfied with the promptness and quality of our delivery," said Vladislava Pereginya, Field Sales Specialist.
