The 21st century is the age of fast service. The norm is now to order goods on one day and receive them on the next, with customer service backed up by an efficient supply chain.
Speed is an important factor in the delivery of consolidated shipments, i.e. small consignments from different customers sent on a single vehicle along a pre-defined route. After being collected from senders, goods are delivered to a consolidation warehouse and grouped into consolidated shipments.
AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG has been providing groupage services for 20 years. We put this deep experience to work serving customers of all sizes, from sole traders to international manufacturers and importers of goods.
In Europe and the CIS, AsstrA offers door-to-door delivery of consolidated shipments from 1m³ to 50m³, from 100kg to 17t, and from 1 to 25 pallets.
Consolidated deliveries allows customers to optimize the cost of transporting small consignments and provides comprehensive oversight of the whole transport process.
"Due to current logistics market conditions, we have been receiving more requests for road delivery of groupage cargo from Europe to the Central Asian and the South Caucasus countries of Georgia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan. For carriage we accept practically all types of goods, including dangerous and expensive ones, except for those requiring maintenance of temperature conditions. The AsstrA team is constantly working on increasing carrying capacity and optimizing delivery schemes," says Georgy Baranov, Freight Forwarder in the AsstrA Groupage Cargo Department.
