A new season of the Asstra Loves Sports project kicked off on May 7 in Silichi, Belarus, at the annual Bison Race obstacle course run, one of the spring’s most exciting athletic events.
As is her tradition, AsstrA Minsk Forwarder Natalya Ratkevich tackled the Sprint, the event’s 5 kilometer individual course. She shared her impressions with the AsstrA marketing team:
"This year there were 25 obstacles on the individual course as well as two running circuits with various climbs and descents. I managed to beat 24 of the obstacles and took third place. I am happy with this result but still motivated to continue improving. Such events teach you to push your personal limits and overcome your challenges, both physical and psychological," shares Natalya Ratkevich.
Natalya then had a day of rest before taking on the group course as part of a team that had to include at least one female member.
"The rest of the team was made up of men, so as a woman the main thing was to keep running and not stop for a second. It was difficult to run seven km through forests with endless climbs and descents, but we did it! We were constantly encouraging each other along the way and crossed the finish line in SECOND place! There is no chance to let up during team races. They bring out your hidden physical capabilities and teach you to be patient despite the pressure. I recommend this event to anyone who wants to cheer up, test their willpower, find their “new self,” or simply take a break from all the negative world news," concludes Natalya Ratkevich.
