In May 2022, AsstrA Deutschland GmbH received another positive SQAS assessment for its transport service offerings. The office’s overall score of 84% significantly exceeded the European average of 74%.
The Safety and Quality Assessment System (SQAS) is an assessment tool for logistics service providers operating working with dangerous goods. This system was developed by Cefic, the European Chemical Industry Council, to regulate the transport and storage of chemistry goods.
SQAS focuses on safety and environmental protection as opposed to ISO 9000 quality management standards. Potential customers can learn more about SQAS assessment and read the report on AsstrA Deutschland’s latest results at Cefic’s SQAS website (https://www.sqas.org).
AsstrA Deutschland GmbH’s auditor was Jörg Jeremias & Partner, an independent institute using a standardized questionnaire.
SQAS evaluations take place every three years. AsstrA Deutschland GmbH was first assessed in 2019. In the office’s second assessment in 2022, the branch scored well above the European average in all relevant categories for comparable companies.
“AsstrA Deutschland received an overall SQAS assessment score of 84%, exceeding the average European score of 74% and even scoring top marks in the three categories of risk management, security, and site inspections/operations,” says Vladislav Alejnikov, Quality & Environment Manager at AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG.
“These SQAS results demonstrate the high quality and safety of the logistics services we provide. We have been confirmed as a reliable partner meeting rigorous quality, safety, and environmental standards according to SQAS methodology," adds Chris Deiters, Dangerous Goods Officer at AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG.
