AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG, an international logistics group, reported its results for 2021.
The company's turnover for all of 2021 reached 460.4 million euros, showing an increase of 30% over 2020. Gross profits were up 21% over the same period to reach 39.9 million euros.
AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG has a route network of more than 1,000 target trade lanes. AsstrA's total number of shipments for 2021 increased by 8% compared to the previous reporting period to reach 196 thousand.
Globally, AsstrA’s most popular service offerings were full truck load transportation (139.4 thousand orders), express deliveries (11.5 thousand orders), and sea container transportation (9.6 thousand orders).
Most of the orders involved dry food and non-food items, chemical products, household appliances, or electronics.
Compared to 2020, in 2021 the AsstrA Group’s offerings generating the highest gross revenue increases were project logistics services (+271%), customs clearance services (+228%), and general cargo transportation (+161%). In the company's Warsaw office, offerings generating the highest gross revenue increases were deliveries by sea (+2532%), general cargo transportation (+355%), liquid cargo (+63%), and groupage cargo (+36%). In the company’s Malaszewicze office, the highest gross revenue increases were from transportation of oversized cargo (+477%), and in the Romania office they were from full truck load transportation (+30%) and express delivery (+17%).
Compared to 2020, AsstrA's warehousing experts processed 178% more orders, the highest year-on-year increase of any AsstrA division. Over the same period, orders for project logistics and customs clearance services were up 160% and 60%, respectively.
At AsstrA's Bergamo office in Italy, year-on-year orders for project logistics services, oversize transportation, and air freight were up 879%, 51%, and 39% respectively. Over the same period, the AsstrA’s Romanian office in Bucharest handled 12% more orders for full truck load transportation. In Budapest, Hungary, the biggest increase in orders was for express deliveries with 366% more vs. 2020. The number of orders for customs clearance services in AsstrA’s Magdeburg and Vilnius offices increased by 135% and 54%, respectively.
Geopolitical reality changed dramatically in the first quarter of 2022. Logistics providers are adapting to the changing conditions, and transport flows are being redistributed to new markets. AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG continues to develop its network of branches around the world. In 2021, the company offices in several new locations, including Tampa, USA. This year we plan to open representative offices in Tbilisi in Georgia, Sofia in Bulgaria, as well as Valencia and Madrid in Spain.
