When it comes to building long-term partnerships in the logistics industry, supply chain efficiency, customer satisfaction, and mutual trust score are key success factors that have been uniting the Carlsberg Group and AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG for the last 10 years.
Initially, AsstrA served the logistics needs of Carlsberg’s Eastern European subsidiaries. Over the next few years, AsstrA went on to support the Carlsberg’s Western European operations. Today, AsstrA specialists regularly execute Carlsberg’s orders to Baltic and Scandinavian countries.
“Whenever Carlsberg has had a requirement, we have responded efficiently to it. This way, we have built our relationship and have been entrusted with permanent contracts. Our specialization in deliveries to CIS countries has quickly expanded to include new routes, including intra-European ones. We provide door-to-door delivery of low-alcohol and soft drinks as well as packaging for production. We are constantly striving to provide new transport options,” says Irina Zhukova, Senior Sales Specialist and Carlsberg Group Key Account Manager at AsstrA.
Deliveries on Scandinavian trade lanes started with a few trucks per week and can now be up to several dozen on one line. In 2021, AsstrA experts completed hundreds of transport orders for the Carslberg Group every month. These orders mainly covered Europe in addition to the CIS countries.
“When transporting non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, the right temperature and humidity in the truck are of key importance. Observing to the customer’s requirements and leveraging our own knowledge base, we verify the vehicle’s condition and ensure that the cargo is properly fastened with straps or bars. For a new load type or delivery destination, we work with a team of planners to configure an optimal load distribution in the trailer. Alcoholic beverages such as beer or wine are classified as food products, which means that the logistics provider must meet sanitary requirements. That is why we monitor market regulations on an ongoing basis. Our ISO 22 000 certificate confirms our commitment to food safety management,” adds Irina Zhukova.
Trust is won and reliability is proven over years. Constant communication and regular feedback sessions are the building blocks of strong mutual relations and allow both partners to respond quickly to changing market conditions. The AsstrA team would like to thank the Carlsberg Group for a decade of shared success. In the coming years we look forward to implementing even more ambitious plans and reaching new business heights together.
