Judging from the success of the winter corporate business event and in response to the desire of employees to meet more often to discuss strategic topics, the decision was made to hold an extraordinary conference called AsstrA Viva. Summer Edition.
On July 29, 2021, the leading logistics company once again welcomed team members from 22 countries to its online platform.
Information about the company’s latest solutions, ambitious plans, and case studies were presented to listeners and participants. During the event, experts summed up performance results for the first half of the year, shared AsstrA’s updated development plans, and announced the company's strategy for 2022-2024.
Karina Budinskaya
"The purpose of the event was to tell the AsstrA team about the company’s strategy moving forward and how it will be executed through the implementation of Leaps. It was fascinating to watch our colleagues’ on-point questions come in through their mobile apps. It was equally fascinating to read our leadership’s responses. Each top manager tracked the questions and immediately answered them on air or directly in the chat room. Really cool!" shares Karina Budinskaya, Training & Development Center Director at AsstrA.
AsstrA’s directors opened the business agenda. The topic of the first segment was AsstrA’s 2022-2024 strategy to become a truly Global Logistics Service Provider. Top management shared the company's plans and development vision for the next three years. Then the AsstrA Viva – Summer Edition program included speeches, presentations, and expert debates on the following topics: production leaps, incentivization policies, professional training, and leadership.
Sven Matthes
This was the first AsstrA business conference for Sven Matthes, who recently joined the company as Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Commercial Officer. “I enjoyed it very much. It’s great to see the AsstrA team connected from all over the world thanks to the technology available these days. Overall, the format and the content was very good. It was important to make the event as interactive as possible, and this was achieved. I liked the way communication flowed in both directions. This was way more efficient than “endless” presentations to simply push large amounts of information or data,” shared Sven Matthes.
608 AsstrA employees attended by registering through the Event.Rocks mobile app, which was customized for the event. The platform allowed participants to ask the speakers questions in real time, exchange news and photos, and follow the live broadcast.
“For the moderated segment called "Professional Training," we chose an unusual format: debates. The goal was to explore the edges of stated theses and simultaneously give arguments for and against aspects of a given topic. Sometimes I really wanted to support the debaters from both sides, but I kept neutral :) I can say with confidence that I have assembled a dream team. Big thanks to my colleagues who supported the unconventional idea of debates and played an active, inspiring role,” summed up Karina Budinskaya.
