Job seekers covet roles with well-respected international companies known to be good employers. At the same time, these companies are always on the lookout for ambitious candidates who are ready for professional growth and new knowledge. Internship programs offer a win-win solution for both sides.

"This was the Minsk HR Department team’s first time to give a presentation to students from an institute of technology. The audience consisted of 50 third-year students who were carefully evaluating their internship opportunities. Therefore, it was a good way for recruiters to identify young talents,” says Yana Razhnovskaya, HR Manager at AsstrA.
The meeting was held in the format of a panel discussion. AsstrA employees presented detailed information about the company, career prospects, relocation opportunities, and what they are looking for in future candidates.

"Our first joint effort with the university turned out well. The young people were keenly interested in the presentation and listened attentively to the history of the company's development. The presentation on career prospects, the variety of positions, and our organizational structure sparked genuine interest amongst the students", says Natalia Shemyakina, Deputy Operations Director for Road Transport in Southern and Northern Europe and the CIS.
Following the event, BNTU and AsstrA agreed to continue cooperation. The company plans to hold an another similar event with students in mid-September.
"Internships and traineeships are an important way students can gain gain practical knowledge and experience that will help their future careers in the trucking industry. Such programs are also good ways to evaluate future employers. AsstrA takes a close look at interns to assess their competencies, potential, and personal qualities. When we make them employment offers, we already know them well and are confident that they will make good team members," shares Natalya Shemyakina.
"In the future we plan to cooperate not only with BNTU but also with other universities. We want to get students interested in AsstrA when they are still hunting for their first jobs. It's important to bring in talented and bright students at this decisive moment," sums up Jana Raznovskaya.
