AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG sums up 2020 results
In 2020 the international corporate group’s turnover amounted to 370 million euros, 7.5% more than in 2019. During 2020 project logistics were an area of focus, with AsstrA Project Logistics departments launched in London, Kotka, and Houston. Compared to 2019, the company’s project logistics customer base grew by 37% and gross profits on project logistics orders were up 12%.
AsstrA’s overall client portfolio grew by 500 companies. In 2020 the corporate group provided logistics services to more than 5,700 customers from a wide range of industries including woodworking, pulp and paper, metallurgy and auto manufacturing.
The most popular routes among AsstrA customers were Russia – Republic of Belarus with 8,500 shipments, Poland – Russia with 6,500, and Germany – Russia with 5,900.
The proportion of product types shipped this year is similar to that of last years. Dry food and non-food products were the most frequently shipped, accounting for 18% of total cargo volume, followed by fashion and beauty products with 14% and chemical industry products with 10%. AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG’s route network now includes 1,300 trade lanes covering each transport mode. Total traffic volume increased 11% to 181,000 shipments executed in 2020. Road shipments accounted for the majority of this volume, with 160,000 FTL shipped in 2020.
During this period, the AsstrA team transported 26 thousand TEU’s in 10 thousand sea shipments, 7 thousand rail shipments, and 4 thousand air shipments. Road transportation generated turnover of 195 million euro, the highest share for the year. Rail and sea shipments followed with 25 million euros and 22 million euros, respectively.

In terms of where we operate, we plan to continue developing our international office network and open local representative offices in Bulgaria and Spain."
In 2020, AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG offices opened in New York, Tashkent, Budapest, London, and Kotka. Today, the group's network consists of branches in the CIS, Europe, Asia, and the United States, and the team now comprises over 1,100 people.
