At the end of September, the AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG branch in Poland was recognized in the country’s "Responsible Employer HR Leader 2021" program. This nationwide initiative is designed to promote successful human resource policy models and strategies as well as highlight top examples of how human resources can be integrated into business processes. The program’s independent committee awards companies based on the quality of their human resource practices as assessed with a detailed questionnaire.
To be named a winner, the AsstrA branch in Poland had to meet a number of criteria regarding, for example, job growth, integrated training support for employees, incentive structures, and opportunities for interns and trainees. Other important factors behind branch’s success included individually tailored professional development opportunities for employees, clearly defined career paths, and community involvement.

"Investing in people is the key to a successful business. That's why we emphasize taking an individual approach to building relationships with our employees. Ultimately, they are behind our company’s continued development. This prestigious award demonstrates that we are on the right track," says Aleksandra Pakush, Director of Human Resources at AsstrA. "AsstrA is a giant mechanism consisting of numerous integrated parts. Only when all the parts work together does the team move forward. As we improve our management system and business processes, we must always remember that our company is built by people."
The outbreak of the pandemic in 2020 led to job cuts in many sectors like hospitality, tourism, and retail. In the logistics, e-commerce, and IT industries, however, the demand for employees has only increased.
"We don't stop. We're moving forward, so we have growing demand not only for new logistics professionals but also for human resources specialists. In this dynamic environment, we are working hard to keep the team engaged and maintain our competitive advantage in the marketplace. Recruiting processes have significantly changed due to the pandemic. 90% of interviews are currently held online. it is impossible to fully analyze body language and other non-verbal cues in an online interview, so we are learning to assess candidates’ soft and hard skills through testing, mini-projects, and case studies," summarizes Aleksandra Pakush.
According to AsstrA, a responsible employer is a great partner to people working to improve society and the environment.
