According to the Peter Principle: "In a hierarchical system, each person seeks to rise to the level of incompetence." At AsstrA, we believe such a scenario might happen, i.e. a person stops developing professionally in a given role or company, because he or she loses motivation to develop further. To avoid this, AsstrA provides a platform for career growth and self-realization. Employees never stop showing initiative, opening new horizons and – like the heroes of interviews – choosin to stay late for at least a dozen years.
Perseverance, ease of communication, and resistance to stress have all been the foundation of Malgorzata Matwiejuk’s ten years of experience in logistics. The manager of AsstrA’s Koroshchino Branch joined the AsstrA team on 2 January 2010 to begin a new year with a young company.

“Love your clients, take a professional approach to every aspect of work, and always strive for more. Develop constantly and keep learning new things every day. Then work will become a rewarding part of a purposeful life,” says Malgorzata Matwiejuk.
According to Service Center Director Olga Kostanenko, combining your personal values and those of the company will guarantee long-term work at AsstrA. You should be able to be grateful, rebuild, and look for new meaning in what you are doing. The company’s key responsibilities include forgiving mistakes and imperfections.

“AsstrA is distinguished by a powerful environment that allows you to develop professional skills and realize talents. Already I can barely remember my first day. I feel like I have been working here all my life,” shares Olga Kostanenko.
“I have been lucky to meet real leaders and mentors. I work with colleagues who help me and share information. The main thing is to be a team player. Take responsibility for your every act, word, and decision. The people at AsstrA will forever remain in my heart.”
Moscow Branch Manager Tatyana Goncharenko found herself in logistics after graduating from university. She quickly found herself wrapped up in the industry’s dynamism and international nature. But the path to AsstrA was not easy: she received an offer to work in the Central European Division only after 3 interviews.

“On my first day at work, I was met by Olga Kostanenko, an incredibly beautiful blue-eyed girl in a blue dress. Afterwards I got to know my team and began my first test – finding transport for a strategic client. After I did so, the probationary period was considered passed,” says Tatyana Goncharenko.
“In logistics, a good knowledge base is important. That should include an understanding of relevant legislation and the processes involved in organizing supply chains. Good personal qualities to have include flexibility, analytical skills, ingenuity, humor, healthy adventurism, and resistance to stress. AsstrA is an ambitious company with a well-coordinated team, a great atmosphere, and people with whom you can laugh.”
Monika Jaros, Chief Accountant at the Warsaw branch, entered the field of logistics in the early 90s. Prior to that, she developed professional competencies during 10 years of work at transport companies.

“It's hard to forget my first day at AsstrA. The test task did not actually require specialized knowledge. Instead, it involved organizing and archiving documents. It was a test of attitude which, based on many years of experience, is highly important. Team members should take a professional approach to the tasks they are assigned, regardless of responsibilities, and always look to develop professionally. Everyone works for the benefit of AsstrA. Staying engagement and a healthy team spirit are the guarantors of long-term work. I feel comfortable in this company both personally and professionally,” comments Monika Jaros.
Vitali Eremenco, Deputy Director of the Road Transportation Operations Department, began his logistics career in 2003 after completing his work as a school teacher of foreign languages. Vitali became the AsstrA Polska’s third employee. Today, over 160 employees work in AsstrA’s Polish offices.

“On the first day, I read professional literature and observed my colleagues and what was happening. Phones rang continuously and ICQ communicator messages flashed constantly. After 2 days, I was left alone in the office and by the evening I finally understood how forwarding really works,” recalls Vitali Eremenco.
“After my first visit to the Minsk office, I realized what a well-coordinated mechanism I had become part of. So my interest in logistics grew even more. AsstrA is a family-owned business, and despite its impressive size and annual growth, I hope it stays that way.”
