The quality of services an international logistics company or transport partner provides is the result of the coordinated work. Good teamwork is an indicator of a company’s competitiveness and a key factor behind its successful development. It is important to take into account feedback and develop loyalty programs to maintain good working relationships with partners and, as a result, build long-term cooperation.
Introducing information technology into business processes has become a key way to strengthen partnerships. The “forwarder-carrier” relationship has greatly transformed over the past five years. Dialogues and workflows have moved to online platforms, instant messengers, and text chats. The use of such IT solutions speeds up communication and brings the senders and recipients of messages closer. And the development of proprietary IT resources guarantees the security and reliability of the transmitted data. Indeed, thanks to rapidly developing technologies and process automation, the logistics world now exists largely in “real-time.”
To coordinate work with transport partners, AsstrA has developed “Supplier’s Portal,” the company’s own e-portal supporting online order distribution. AsstrA team members use Supplier’s Portal to place orders that are not available on other sites or exchanges. The key goal is to automate collaborative workflows and make them transparent to stakeholders. By optimizing these business processes, simplifying communications, and automating routine operations, AsstrA is driving down transportation costs and improving service quality for clients, the most important link in any supply chain.
Currently, 2,500 AsstrA partners are using Supplier’s Portal to access comprehensive information about:
– AsstrA cargo orders,
– current carrier loads,
– the status of shipments,
– vehicle locations on a map with estimated arrival times, and
– relevant electronic documentation.
“With a GPS / telematic system integrator, we developed a single database that helps clients get a comprehensive picture of where and how their cargo is behind handled. We work with 140 GPS operators from 20 countries all around the world to provide real-time cargo location data,” comments Andrei Zazulinski, Deputy COO for IT Solutions at AsstrA.
We asked some of our transport service partners for some feedback on how they like using Supplier’s Portal to communicate with the AsstrA team.
Anna Alkhovik, Primway LLC
“We are happy to be using Supplier’s Portal to support much of our day-to-day work. Our team quickly realized how useful it is and were quick to start using it. We saw an immediate improvement in the efficiency of our work and business processes, especially regarding communications. We have eliminated unnecessary calls and messages and can now focus better on our real priorities.
Bondar Vyacheslav, Mogilev branch Bus fleet No. 1 of Mogilevoblavtotrans OJSC
“Without a doubt, Supplier’s Portal worth checking out. It is a easy-to-use tool that improves communication for both carriers and forwarders. We can filter for certain transport routes and take the goods without any unnecessary hassles or delays. In addition to being able to view available orders, it is also very convenient to issue invoices directly through the Portal.
Rylik Natalya, KTL LLC
“I’m only just starting to get acquainted with Supplier’s Cabinet, but I can already see the benefits of using the Orders and Offers tabs. It is extremely helpful to get immediate email notifications of newly placed orders. That way I can quickly respond and pick up suitable orders.
Roman Shandrikov, Cargo Line LLC
“AsstrA’s Supplier’s Portal is the 8th wonder of the world. Our team repeatedly gets excited at the mere thought of working on this platform. It all fits together, everyone likes it, and everyone is happy. Many thanks for asking for feedback from Cargo Line LLC!
