International logistics companies China Railway International Multimodal Transport Co., Ltd and AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG have entered a formal partnership to provide customers with international container transportation.
China Railway International Multimodal Transport Co., Ltd. (CRIMT) is China National Railway Corporation subsidiary providing container transport solutions.
“We first began discussing the terms of our partnership at Transport Logistic 2019 in Munich. Our direct relationship with CRIMT will improve the depth and quality of our railway service portfolio, says Viktoriya Ignatovich, Sales Specialist at AsstrA.
Chinese railway terminals operators purchasing CRIMT railway services for shipments to Russia or Belarus can now rely on AsstrA to handle all aspects of the entire route, including border crossings, without third parties. The complete set of China-Russia/Belarus railway tariffs can be settled directly only with official CRIMT partner agents.
“After signing the agreement in April 2020, AsstrA became a full-fledged CRIMT agent. Now with preferential conditions, our customers can take advantage of wide-gauge (1520 mm) rail services for shipments leaving China to terminal stations in Russia and Belarus,” adds Viktoriya Ignatovich.
To become an official CRIMT partner, a company must provide detailed registration documents. A recommendation from a Chinese rail terminal operator is a decisive factor in the approval of a partner.
“The Suzhou terminal operator provided sound recommendations for AsstrA. Today, as a CRIMT partner based outside of China, AsstrA has already directly organized China-Russia/Belarus railway shipments for clients. Our new capabilities help our customers optimize transportation costs for delivery from China,” summarizes Tangnur Zhumagali, Shanghai Branch Manager at AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG.
