At the beginning of January this year, international transportation and logistics operator AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG has provided a charitable shipment of cleaning products to the Polish Committee for the Protection of Children's Rights.
The Committee for the Protection of Children's Rights (KOPD) is a nationwide Polish public benefit organization, operating since 1981 for the benefit of children. KOPD's mission is to protect the rights and interests of children. The main goal of KOPD is to help abused children and their families.
"At the request of the Committee for the Protection of Children's Rights, at the beginning of January this year AsstrA delivered cleaning products from a warehouse in Sochaczew to the Committee’s headquarters in Warsaw. The good weighed about 400 kg and required 4 pallets. Because AsstrA had already gained experience implementing similar transport projects, we were very interested in the inquiry from KOPD and we accepted the challenge without hesitation. We always try to help those in need as much as we can,” says Daniel Hajduk, international supply chain specialist at AsstrA.
“We received guidelines regarding the quantity and type of goods to be transported. In addition, we agreed on the manual unloading and delivery of the goods to the office.
Collection and delivery were scheduled for 08/01/2020. The AsstrA truck was prepared for loading in the morning. The goods were loaded very efficiently and the truck arrived at the unloading spot within two hours.
As a way to help the children, the AsstrA team decided to help with the unloading. We went there personally with some other AsstrA team members to pitch in. Everyone was so excited about the delivery that even the ladies from the Committee were eager to join in with us.
The KOPD project turned out to be a very well-coordinated and well-planned initiative from the very beginning. The transport and delivery went smoothly and ultimately made a group of kids very happy,” sums up Daniel Hajduk.
