The Transmaraton Charity Race took place in Romania on September 15 of this year. The route passed along the picturesque Transfagarasan road, which crosses the Fagaras mountains. Participants experienced weather from all four seasons in one day while completing their runs. On the route they saw springs, waterfalls, glacial lakes, mountains, and a kilometer-long tunnel.
Monica-Gabriela Vasile, AsstrA Bucharest Office Manager, shares her impressions:
“A race is a test of yourself as well as an opportunity to be alone with nature. Listen to your thoughts, steps, breath, and heartbeat. It is very important to get away from the daily rush of life, and I am so happy to do so as part of the AsstrA Running Team.
No matter how physically difficult and tiring it was, overcoming one of the most challenging and also most beautiful marathon courses was a truly great experience. It’s hard to describe in words – you need to try it yourself!
