At the end of 2018, compared to 2017 revenue was up 195% for the dedicated division providing comprehensive logistics services for the pharmaceutical industry. Turnover in Russia amounted to more than 1 million euros, which is 0.03% of the total Russian pharmaceuticals logistics market estimated to be worth 4 billion euros.
In 2018, experts from AsstrA Pharma Logistics, a dedicated division providing comprehensive logistics services for the pharmaceutical industry, processed more than 1,100 orders for the transportation of pharmaceutical products. Currently the division serves 34 international clients.
AsstrA’s most popular transport mode for pharmaceutical transport is via road, which accounted for 89.3% of total shipment volume. Sea, air, and rail followed with 4,9%, 4,4%, and 1%, respectively.
The most popular destination country was Tajikistan, where 32% of Russian pharmaceuticals exported with AsstrA went. Germany and Uzbekistan followed with 23% and 15%, respectively. The most pharmaceuticals imported to Russia with AsstrA came from Germany, the origin of 59% of such shipments. Finland and France followed with 10% and 5%, respectively.
Over-the-counter drugs were the most common type of pharmaceutical cargo, with 32.29% of processed orders. Blood serum and blood accounted for 19.20% of orders, prescription medications 16.63%, various oral medication 7.40%, as well as instruments and medical devices 6.98%.
