From June 4-7 of this year, Munich once again drew logistics specialists from all around the world. The Transport Logistic 2019 expo gathered more than 2,300 companies from 63 countries and 64,000 visitors, further confirming its status as “the world's largest logistics event.”
The AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG transport and logistics group once again participated in this huge event. According to Dmitry Lagun, President of AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG, the scope of the event was amazing.
“This is truly the world of logistics’ most ambitious event that no serious international industry player can miss.”
Transport Logistic is a meeting place for logistics companies and their potential clients; a place where the future of logistics is born. This year’s discussions centered on the trade war between China and the United States, the driver shortage crisis, the New Silk Road, and supply chain automation. According to Vladislav Lagun, AsstrA USA Project Leader, the event’s organization was very impressive right down to the small details.
“As a result of intensive networking, we managed to expand and strengthen professional ties.”
The company stand’s bright decor attracted visitors as did AsstrA’s current slogan, “Connected by the New Silk Road.”
“Each company sought to be unique. The visuals and cheerful design made AsstrA’s stand a real piece of art that impressed every guest,” comments Natalia Eremenko, AsstrA Director of Marketing and Sales.
Johannes Kubbutat, AsstrA Sales Specialist adds: “The AsstrA stand stood out from the rest, as noted by clients who met us there and other event guests. The relaxed and pleasant atmosphere at our stand helped make conversation friendly and fruitful.”
Most of the exhibitors came from Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, France, and Poland. The number of Chinese exhibitors doubled since last year, as Chinese companies are actively looking for partners in the New Silk Road initiative.
Ekaterina Karpovich, AsstrA German Market Focus Expert, says:
“I was so impressed with the scope of the exhibition. Among the visitors were customers, carriers, shipping lines, and railway and air partners. It was especially great to see so many potential customers who saw our slogan “Connected by the New Silk Road” and stopped by to discuss railway transport from China. The talks were successful and will certainly lead to new contracts signed and strong business ties established.”
Yulia Sadovodova, Head of Project Logistics Sales and DACH Regional Manager, shares her impressions:
“It can take up to several years to truly assess the results of this type of event. Even so, we were able to make immediate progress with some clients through good dialogues at the exhibition. Our stand’s encouraging atmosphere and optimistic design played a key role here."
“It will take time to fully evaluate the results. Now we can say with confidence that for many of our new clients, our meetings were only the first of many!” summarizes Marco Lachmund, AsstrA Development Manager for Global Clients.
