Construction of the power plant near Karaganda began in the summer of 2017. The estimated capacity of the new station will be 100 MW. Its location, according to experts, is one of the best in the country for its purpose, considering factors like the number of sunny days and the coefficient of solar radiation.
The transportation project involved 3 months of intense work lasting from June – September 2018. During this time, AsstrA experts delivered more than 8 thousand tons solar panels, racks, and piles by road.
The project involved 393 transport vehicles that carried out nearly 550 trips. The cargo was delivered to Kazakhstan from different manufacturers in Germany, Poland, Slovenia, and the Netherlands.
According to Yulia Sadovodova, AsstrA Head of Sales for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Benelux, the project was ambitious. "Short deadlines, long distances, and high cargo costs were just the beginning. To optimize the delivery process, AsstrA specialists consolidated the cargo at temporary storage warehouses (TSWs) in Poland and Germany after taking the cargo from the supplier. From there it was sent to Kazakhstan by previously selected transport partners. In Astana, the equipment was again unloaded to temporary storage facilities for customs procedures. The final stage was the delivery of the customs-cleared cargo directly to the construction site."
To ensure maximum safety, the cargo was insured against all risks. AsstrA experts also kept the client up to date on each transport stage using online communications.
In the project, a dozen close-knit AsstrA experts provided comprehensive services covering clear and timely reports about the location of goods, sourcing storage options in Europe and Kazakhstan, precise scheduling of the goods’ export from temporary storage, transportation scheduling in Kazakhstan, correct and timely billing, and paperwork to meet all requirements.
