Top Transport Europe has been held in Marseille for more than a quarter of a century. During this time, the exhibition has managed to build up a reputation as a prestigious industry event. AsstrA EU Regional Deputy Director and France Country Manager Natalia Iwanowa-Kolakowska says:
"This was the second time group of companies AsstrA took part in Top Transport Europe in Marseille. Like last year, I want to note the effectiveness of the event’s format. It was useful to get acquainted with the state of today’s market and understand current industry trends.”
The exhibition’s format involved a two-day session of targeted B2B meetings. Therefore, in a short time specialists from AsstrA were able to hold many meetings with service providers and their direct customers.
"Most of the meetings are set up by the organizers in advance with the consent and interest of both sides. It allows participants to get maximum value from their time at the exhibition and to fit many discussions into a really short time window. The organizers were not perfect matchmakers between potential clients and transport companies in every case, but these organizational gaps provided a good opportunity for impromptu communication with both new and existing customers. Most of the meetings were informative and effective, and we were able to establish contact with many interesting potential Partners. Now our main task is to develop and strengthen successful cooperation," says Natalia Iwanowa-Kolakowska.
The exhibition provides coverage for 100% of the French market, 78% of the European market, and 64% of the global market. This year for the first time, more than half of the world’s shippers participated in Top Transport Europe. Service providers are regular fixtures at the event.
"Thanks to the trust-building communication at the exhibition, the AsstrA team returned with a list of new Customers as well as a clearer understanding of the needs of existing ones. Telephone conversations do not replace live communication. Effective organization, a tight timetable of meetings, and fruitful networking allowed us to get the most out of these two days of the expo," adds Anne-Laure Berger, sales specialist for a focus market of France.
