In late June, the China Supply Chain Executive Summit (CSCE) was held in Beijing, a landmark event for the Asian market that for the second time brought together transport logistics experts from Asia, Europe, and the United States. Among the 500 participants this year were representatives of leading FMCG corporations such as Unilever, Mondelez, and Procter & Gamble, as well as experts from the fields of e-commerce, data protection, and artificial intelligence.
This year at the prestigious event, international company AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG was not only an eyewitness to but also a direct participant in the creation of "the logistics of tomorrow."
Vyacheslav Gural, Asian Region Director at AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG, describes the results of the Summit as well as his personal impressions of it:
"China Supply Chain Executive Summit 2018 was devoted primarily to the latest global logistics market trends – particularly in China – having a significant impact on the business worldwide. Development paths, domestic and international supply chain challenges, globalization and digitalization issues, and the use and strategic integration of blockchain technologies in logistics were all discussed. We live in the information age, and we can ride a wave driven by innovation and a focus on high quality. It is necessary to delve into the latest trends influencing not only the logistics market but also related sectors like integrated TMS and WMS systems, insurance, information security, etc. And this Summit was an excellent opportunity to spread and discuss relevant information."
Zhumagali Tangnur, China Regional Country Manager at AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG, provided his feedback on CSCE 2018:
"Our main goals at the Summit were to expand the Asstra Partner network in China, search for new customers, and meet with loyal customers. In just two days, we managed to hold more than 20 meetings, many of which promise to grow into fruitful relationships."
Dmitriy Lagun, General Director of the AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG group of companies, on CSCE 2018:
"The Summit agenda consisted of hot topics. These issues are now being actively discussed at almost every major event dedicated to logistics. But the most interesting things happened in the breaks between presentations, when there was an opportunity to communicate directly with the participants "outside the program." Since the format of the Summit did not include time set aside for meetings, independent networking proved to be most effective way to get acquainted with the largest players in FMCG and other industries.”
