From 29-31 May, leading bulk cargo infrastructure owners and project cargo logistics experts gathered in Messe Bremen for the industry’s largest global expo. Executives from international transportation and logistics group AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG had only one word to describe the event: “success.”
The first BreakBulk Europe conference was launched more than a decade ago. Since then, it has become an annual networking hub for project logistics industry professionals, and AsstrA regularly takes part. “One day at BreakBulk 2018 felt like three. We were highly productive in discussions about business prospects with our potential suppliers, Partners, and Clients,” comments Dmitry Lagun, AsstrA CEO.
The event provides both networking and educational opportunities for over 500 exhibitors and more than 10,000 participants every time. This year the event took place in a new venue: Messe Bremen. It was in a city for which the importance of the heavy lift cargo transportation industry has been rapidly growing over last few years.
Giorgi Zaal Khabazashvili, Head of the Industrial Projects Division at AsstrA, notes that the new BreakBulk Europe, reorganized and relocated to its new venue, was more impressive than ever. “The new facility and the number of participants were remarkable. I came back from the BreakBulk conference with many new ideas and business opportunities for AsstrA. We had an excellent stand, so socializing went very smoothly,” shares Mr. Zaal Khabazashvili.
Andrej Abramov, Deputy Head of the AsstrA Industrial Projects Division, adds that all the business meetings AsstrA representatives held during the conference will deliver bottom-line results in the near future. “Our networking activities during BreakBulk 2018 brought new Clients, new suppliers, and new ideas to us. So definitely a success,” smiles Mr. Abramov.
“The most memorable thing from BreakBulk 2018 was the pleasant feeling of being familiar to other participants. When we exhibited at BreakBulk for the first time, most of our stand’s visitors came out of curiosity as to who we were and what our capabilities were. This year, both suppliers and cargo owners come to chat with us about concrete issues related to our mutual business interests. That says it all,” Mr. Abramov continues.
American and Asian editions of the BreakBulk conference are also being held. AsstrA is looking forward to the next opportunity to meet with top project logistics industry leaders.
