The market for transport and logistics services is highly competitive. Differentiating factors include the quality and speed of delivery as well as responsiveness to the needs of the market demonstrated by a growing list of offerings. The AsstrA group of international transport and logistics companies always stays on top of industry trends so as to offer customers personalized logistics solutions.
Recently, specialists from the AsstrA Air Transport Department successfully executed a transport project involving particularly sensitive cargo – pharmaceuticals – sent from Moscow to Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan. The Client’s key requirement and the main condition for the safety of the shipment was to keep temperatures strictly between +10 and +25 ° C. Therefore, executing the transportation required the use of climate control.
To create optimal temperature conditions and minimize the risk of temperature fluctuations, AsstrA employees booked a direct flight with the possibility of placing the goods in a specially equipped room at the cargo terminal. In the presence of an authorized representative of the customer’s company, devices capable of logging the cargo’s temperature during transportation were placed in the container. AsstrA specialists programmed the devices to read and transmit their findings at a certain interval in accordance with the Client's instructions. AsstrA uses accurate and reliable equipment of the latest generation. In this pharmaceutical transport project, the devices from Swiss manufacturer Switrace were calibrated to an error margin of 0. 25⁰C.
"Air transportation of small consignments is a very popular service in the pharmaceutical industry. For industry representatives, temperature control is a prerequisite for the transportation of the highly sensitive and expensive goods. AsstrA experts understand that the quality of pharmaceutical goods depends on many factors and Clients have a wide range of needs – which we are constantly developing our logistics offerings to meet," highlights Ekaterina Lis, Head of AsstrA Pharma Logistics.
Medicines are a special type of cargo requiring compliance with many health standards, including the strict adherence – which AsstrA guarantees – to certain temperature regimes. The company provides customers with detailed reports on temperature control at all transport stages.
AsstrA has representative offices at both Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo airports in Moscow. Specialists personally control all operations involving cargo to streamline the supply chain, remove unnecessary links, increase order speeds, and minimize costs.
