For AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG, express rail transportation between China, the EU, and the CIS has in recent years developed from a niche offering into a core service. In 2017, the company made 2.5 thousand deliveries, 1,900% more than in 2016. Oversize transport project orders were up 1,725%.
AsstrA has been present on the Chinese market for more than 10 years and is steadily expanding its logistics capabilities both in China and the region. As part of this development, AsstrA joined the Landbridge Alliance in May 2018.
The Landbridge Alliance is a national association whose members include than 60 major Chinese railroad companies. Its main objectives are to serve the interests of its members and to promote the development of rail transport, including express train deliveries.
AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG Shanghai Branch Director Andrey Soroka commented on membership in the Alliance:
"For us, being in the Association is initially an opportunity to communicate with current and future customers and suppliers. Thanks the organization's events and the new contacts we meet at them, we will receive more relevant information on trends, prospects and changes in the Chinese railway market. This is an opportunity not only to get acquainted with "local cuisine" but also to become one of its "chefs," so to speak. At the same time, it also demonstrates our leading local position. AsstrA is among the main Chinese railway market players, and membership increases our visibility and makes the brand more recognizable for the Chinese consumer."
