The Swiss Arviem AG and the American Powers International LLC announced a partnership to verify cargo and monitor its movement on global shipments between the United States and the European Union.
Arviem’s real-time cargo monitoring technology along with its American partner’s chain of custody solution will enable global cargo to come with a digital passport that will serve as a verifiable transcript of the shipment’s journey. This control technology can be integrated with government servers and various other government requirements, serving as an electronic audit of the cargo’s movement, access and control from the cargo’s origin to its destination.
Arviem’s partnership with Powers International has been selected to join CORE, a public-private partnership established by the United States Department of Homeland Security and by the United States Department of the Interior. The goal of CORE is to simultaneously optimize and strengthen supply chain security for shipments between the U.S. and the EU. One of its purposes is to demonstrate the use of container security technology by involving various supply chain stakeholders, public entities, border authorities, and supply chain providers.
